@ HOME Council Partner Promotion Kit
This kit is for council communications, sustainability and engagement teams promoting the @ HOME program to local residents.
It brings together all approved assets, links and promotion options in one place so councils can easily share upcoming events, on-demand content and resources across websites, newsletters, social media and print.
@ HOME is designed to be flexible. Councils can promote as much or as little as capacity allows, while residents still receive consistent program communications once they sign up.
Key principles:
Event-first promotion:
Councils should prioritise promoting individual live events using the specific event registration links.
Multiple pathways, one ongoing journey:
While event promotion comes first, councils are encouraged to use a range of promotion styles to reach as many residents as possible. Whether a resident joins via a live event, a rewatch link or the video library, their email is captured and they begin receiving @ HOME communications. This includes invitations to monthly events, access to relevant recordings and prompts to explore more content.

What is @ HOME?
@ HOME is a free, online sustainability education program delivered in partnership with councils across Australia.
Residents access:
- Live expert webinars
- Practical, home-focused advice
- On-demand recordings
- Blogs and downloadable resources
Topics focus on everyday actions that save money, reduce waste and cut emissions at home.

Key Promotion Links (Your Core Tools)
Councils can use any combination of the following:
Individual Event Links
Use to promote specific upcoming events across:
- Council website event listings
- Newsletters
- Social media
Event Calendar (Embeddable Option Available)
- Displays all upcoming events in one place
- Can be embedded on council websites or linked to avoid uploading each event individually
- Residents can browse and RSVP to multiple events at once
On-Demand Content Hub
- One link showing all recorded sessions
- Ideal for newsletters, evergreen web pages or follow-up comms
Individual On-Demand Links
- Share a single recording aligned with a theme
- Example: link a food waste video in a food or waste-related post
- Find your ideal content by searching the on-demand hub
Good for the Hood Council webpage
- One link showing the full program
- Best for flyers, posters, QR codes and social bios
- Useful if council doesn’t host a dedicated landing page
- Accessed via https://www.goodforthehood.com.au/postcode-opt-in
Important: No matter which link is used, residents enter the same @ HOME system and are automatically subscribed to program updates once they register.

Recommended Promotion Flow
- Promote individual events where possible
- Embed (or link to) the event calendar to save time and show the full program
- Use on-demand content to extend reach beyond live sessions
- Link to your GFTH council webpage from print and offline materials
A visual promotion flowchart can be found here to show how these pieces work together.
